The delivery can take place at home or in the hospital. In either case, you are in trusted hands with LieV Maternity Care Limburg.

Should you give birth at home, we will assist your midwife during labor. This can be done at any time or moment, 24 hours a day. When the contractions start or your waters break, you call the midwife and LieV Kraamzorg Limburg. We are then already informed that your labor has started and will be on standby when your midwife calls for assistance.

After the delivery, the maternity nurse will keep a close eye on you and perform regular check-ups. She will also provide the first feedings and information and instruction. Even when the maternity nurse goes home, you are not alone.

All our maternity nurses have completed training in VIP. The maternity nurse can, at any time you wish, support you and your partner during the contractions and ensure an atmosphere as relaxed as possible. She can also massage you or support your breathing. A hot shower can also provide relaxation. Meanwhile, she can get all the supplies ready for delivery. All VIP hours are covered by the health insurance company.

When you give birth in the hospital under the direction of your own midwife, we will assist the delivery. We give childbirth assistance in the Sint Jans Gasthuis in Weert, the Geboortecentrum Noord Limburg (Vie Curi) in Venlo, the Laurentius Hospital in Roermond and in the Pantein Hospital in Boxmeer.

If it is medically necessary that you give birth in the hospital, we will not assist the delivery. However, we do appreciate a phone call at the time of delivery. The moment the delivery is over and you can be discharged, we will be ready for you at home. If the gynecologist gives the "green light" for discharge, you call us and we will start care at home.

Even in the hours when the maternity nurse is not there during the maternity period, you are not alone. We are available 24 hours a day for questions and, if necessary, can also provide emergency maternity care. If you have a question and we cannot help you over the phone, a maternity nurse will come to you.
